Just a little bit outside the Belgian tourist destination De Haan, you have a more natural looking sandy beach Strand Zeepreventorium. If you prefer to have sand dunes in the back of the beach and in the same time enjoy the view of the north sea, this beach is the one for you. Because no beach infrastructure is available here and you also have no restaurants on the beach it is more recommended for an adventurer user type, than it is for a family, although it is quite close to the more crowded centre of the city De Haan. Getting here with your vehicle is very easy and the best way is to park beside the road some 200 m away from the beach. To access the beach you need to cross the 10 m high dunes. Half way the path is ok, half of it, there is only sand under your feet, and on some places a little bit steep. Total length of the beach is several kilometres and the minimum width is 50 m. The water entry is nice and the swimming point depends on the tide, but it should be at around 50 m. Because this is a very popular destination many different types of accommodation are available in the city and in the surrounding area.
