The country of Belgium is known for many things, Manneken Pis, beer, chocolate, atomium, waffles, diamonds, etc. It is also a paradise for those who like long sandy beaches, especially for families with many children. Very often there are many children playgrounds on the beach, including sports fields. If you are looking for a beach like this, you are advised to visit Strand De Panne beach, located in the town of De Panne, just a few kilometers away from the French border. This place is also the last tourist destination in Belgium before crossing the French border. Access to this beach is very easy, no matter what vehicle you travel with. You can park your vehicle at designated parking areas along the road, only 100 meters away from the beach. Because this place is a true tourist destination, you will of course also have here plenty of beach services and beach infrastructure. As is typical of beaches in Belgium, this beach is several kilometers long and has a width of more than 100 meters, but in the case of low tide, this width is, of course, increased by some 100 meters more. The slope of the beach, except for a few points, is quite constant. The access to the water is easy and convenient, as the depth increases very slowly, you can swim at ca. 50 meters. Finding accommodation in this place will not be a problem either, as there are numerous hotels and apartments near the beach, but if you are a fan of campsites, they are only a few kilometers away. If you happen to get bored on the beach, there is also a large amusement park called Plopsaland De Panne nearby.
