The German beach Prora is famous for its German third reich heritage. It used to be a vacation spot for the German second world war soldiers and officers. Some buildings are still preserved in the original shape, some have been turned into modern apartments. The beach is located on the German island Rügen which is a part of the region Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a northern part on the Baltic Sea. If you would like to visit it it is very easy to reach it with any kind of vehicle, even motorhomes. You have to take a path of 400 meters to reach the beach. Once there a beautiful sandy beach, several kilometers long and 30 meters wide awaits you. The water entry is very nice and the point of swim is at around 30 meters. You have some beach services available here, but they are only basic. Restaurants and bars are not available directly on the beach, but more in the background. You have several options for accommodation, mainly as apartments.
