Paralia Kalamitsa

Welcome to Kavala and the city beach Paralia Kalamitsa. It is a true city beach in the middle of the Kavala town. Kavala is located in the eastern part of Greece in the region Anatoliki Makedonia kai Thraki. The main surface on the beach is sand and because of the beach characteristics it is best suitable for families. Parking your vehicle here is not a problem, you can do that directly in front of the beach, but be aware that the parking has a height barrier, but some low motorhomes can pass through it. The total length of the beach is 750 metres, 15 metres is the maximal width and the slope inclination is a little bit increased, which means that you can already start to swim after only 5 metres after entering the water. Children will also love this place; you have many children playgrounds here. In the background of the beach there is a large sports centre, with many different sport fields. Hotel, apartments and free rooms are available in the vicinity. As it is usual on a city beach you can try out some Greek cuisine directly on the beach, many restaurants and beach bars are at your disposal.
