Beach Velja Špilja
The beach Velja Špilja is for the ones recommended, who love to be in the nature, without any beach services available nearby. It is located in the region Herceg Novi, near the village Merdari. It is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle. The final part of the road is a dirt one. You can park the vehicle directly at the beach and take a 100 meter walk some 15 meters in height difference to the beach. The path itself is on one part a little bit tricky and dangerous, but with enough caution it is possible to manage it. The main surface on the beach is brown sand, but you also have some small pebbles and some rocks on the sides of the beach. The water entry is very nice and swimming starts almost immediately. On the beach itself and in the surrounding, you don't have any beach infrastructure or any beach services available. The same is true for accommodation, which can be found in the neighboring villages, but not around the beach.
