Strandslag Duinoord
If you are searching for a Dutch beach with lots of sand, with high sand dunes in the region Noord-Holland, we suggest you to visit the beach Strandslag Duinoord, which is located close to the city Den Helder. It is very easy to reach it with any kind of vehicle and you have a large parking place some 500 m away from the beach. Although it's a quite long path to the beach, it is certainly worth it. You can also access the beach by bicycle, the paths are in a good condition. The beach is very long, several kilometres and the width depends on high or low tide,but it is a minimum of 50 m. The water entry is very nice and the swimming point is at 75 m. You have some basic beach infrastructure located here, a restaurant and a beach bar included. Accommodation is not available on the beach but in the vicinity in the form of a camp, which is the closest one, or as an apartment or a hotel.
