Strand Pieterma
The Dutch lake Gouwzee, in the region Noord-Holland, has a few sandy beaches to offer for your beach visit. The beach Strand Pieterma is located close to the city Volendam, it is a family beach which you should visit, if you like sand and grass on the beach. It is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle and you have a very large parking place only a few metres away from the beach, motorhomes can also park here. The total length of the beach is 200 m and the sandy part is 20 m wide. With the grass field aded it gets even wider. It is a flat beach with a very shallow water,which makes the water entry very nice, but the swimming point is far out away, at more than 100 metres. On the beach you also have some basic beach infrastructure, a beach kiosk with fast food and in the vicinity you will even find a hotel and some apartments. Close to the beach you also have a motorhome rest area. Next to the beach there is a marina with lots of ships.
