This sandy beach, located in the Dutch region Zuid-Holland, close to the city Ouddorp, is really a very special one. The fact which makes it so unique is its flatness, especially at low tide when the water moves far away, probably more than one kilometre. It is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle and you have a very large parking place 500m away from the beach. The path which leads to the beach is paved and goes over a 5 m high dune. Once you're on the beach you have a very large beach area with several kilometres of length and more than 100 m of width available, at low tide more than 1 km. This makes the water entry of course very nice, but you would need to walk quite for a time to reach the point of swim. The shallow water together with a few children playgrounds makes this location a perfect spot for small children, either to play in the water safely or hang out on the playground.
