One of the most popular German tourist destination, when it comes to beaches, is the Island Sylt. It is located in the German region Schleswig-Holstein on the west German coastline where you can experience the North sea, which is part of the Atlantic ocean. The island Sylt is accessible either by train from German mainland, by airplane or by a ferry from Denmark. The main city on the island Sylt is Westerland, which is not far away from the beach Kampen. You can arrive to the parking of the beach with any kind of vehicle, also a motorhome and park on a large parking place, it is a payable one. The path to the beach is quite long, around 600 m, but you will enjoy it, beacuse it runs trough the dunes, which are very interesting. It is a family beach whit lots of beach infrastructure, dogs are also allowed on the beach. If you like nudism you are welcomed here. On the beach you also have a restaurant, a fast food and coffee bar nearby. On the beach and in the surrounding there is no option for accommodation, the closest one is in Kampen. The beach itself is a sandy one, it is several kilometers long, 100 m wide, with very different beach inclination. The point of swim various between low and high tide, but should arround 25 m.
